Lentink continueert

Thursday, April 16, 2020

Dear relations,

These are unusual, uncertain times. Lentink is a company that has proven its resilience before. In our 62 years of existence, the company has proven that it can handle difficult situations. We have always stood behind our customers as partners, even in difficult times such as now. Lentink continues to produce for its customers.

The world is turned upside down by the Coronavirus. Large groups of people have become (seriously) ill, and the Intensive Care units in hospitals have their hands full with the many patients. Physical contact therefore remains out of the question. Shops have been forced to close and countries have temporarily closed their borders. Circumstances, measures & decisions that have not only affected emotionally but also financially for many worldwide. Out of the blue, revenues have fallen significantly or may even have disappeared altogether. The effects of the virus can be felt everywhere; in people's private lives, work environment and in the way we interact.

The primary concern for Lentink as a company is the health of its employees, their partners, their family members and friends. Due to the high contamination rate and associated limitations affecting day-to-day work across Europe, our greatest challenge remains to minimize the impact on our day-to-day operations in order to continue serving our customers. We continuously monitor the supply chain and remain in close contact with our suppliers and customers to identify potential restrictions at an early stage and respond accordingly. Despite our efforts, delivery times can be compromised. We will keep everyone involved closely informed so that everyone is informed as soon as possible of any delay. This gives everyone the opportunity to take this into account within their own company. In this regard, we rely for good order on force majeure and on the fact of unforeseen circumstances. The measures we have taken as an organization have always been in the interest of everyone's health. As an international company, we take our responsibility to act according to both national and international guidelines. Lentink has acted in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the local public health institutions. It is our job to do everything possible to continue to support our employees, customers and suppliers in these difficult times from which we will come out stronger together at a good time.

It's time to pick up the thread again! One of the most important issues is the financial downturn by limiting the Corona virus and the financial consequences for companies as much as possible. Even in these challenging times, we want to continue to offer our customers optimal service without endangering our employees or those of our relations. Unfortunately, physical distance will remain more important than ever in the coming months. As far as possible, agreements at our production location are replaced by remote contact. We will of course remain available by telephone, E-mail or Skype. Despite the current difficult circumstances, we want to support you as much as possible in order to continue to guarantee you and our productivity. This requires a great deal of customization and flexibility from all of us. We at Lentink will try to keep productivity at the desired level on a daily basis with the maximum commitment of our employees, customers and suppliers.

We wish everyone good luck in the coming months where we will all have to do our part to get the economy back to normal.
